Membership FAQs

What type of news stories do you accept?

We welcome high-quality, newsworthy stories about the development and improvement of living and working environments, covering sectors like property, construction, technology, design, transport, and bricks & mortar retail.

Your news submissions should provide genuine news or industry insight, such as product/service launches, company milestones, or expert opinions, rather than a sales pitch.

Please take a look at our news guidelines for more details about what we love and what we’ll reject.

Yes, all content must be original, free from excessive promotion, and aligned with our editorial standards. We reserve the right to decline stories that don’t meet these guidelines, and unfortunately, we can’t issue credits for rejected news stories, so please use common sense when choosing news stories to upload.

Our news guidelines go into more detail about what you can upload and what we won’t publish.

We aim to share 100% of news stories uploaded through the exclusive Upload a Story form. However, if a submission does not meet our news guidelines, it may be rejected, and it will still count towards your monthly quota. To avoid this, please ensure your content is professionally written and relevant to our news topic guidelines.

We aim to review and publish all member submissions on the same working day they are submitted. However, please note that actual publishing times may vary based on several factors:

  • Submissions received late in the day may be processed the following working day
  • Stories submitted during weekends or holidays will be reviewed on the next working day
  • During periods of high submission volume, there may be slight delays in processing
  • Staff availability may occasionally affect our usual turnaround time

For the best results, we recommend submitting your stories during regular business hours and allowing for potential short delays during busy periods. Rest assured that our team is committed to publishing your content as promptly as possible while maintaining our quality standards.

With Premium Plus, each news story you publish can include one dofollow backlink, giving your site valuable SEO benefit.

We’ll place the link on a brand name, company or organisation name, whitepaper or report title, or event reference within your story. These are natural placements that pass authority while maintaining editorial quality.

Please note: we don’t currently support keyword-based backlinking. If you have a specific SEO campaign or need keyword links, get in touch — we may be able to offer a tailored solution.

Images must be in JPG format and under 2MB in size. File names should be short, without spaces or special characters. The ideal image dimensions are between 900px and 1000px wide at 72dpi, and all images must be in landscape format, as portrait images are not supported. Submitted images should be high-quality photographs, not graphics, company logos, or promotional visuals. You must have permission to use the image and provide full credit, such as “Photo by John Smith / Courtesy of XYZ Agency.”

By default, stories will be published under your name, with your byline appearing at the bottom of the article. If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can opt for attribution under our standard author byline when you upload a story.
