The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes says its new Woodland Walk development on the outskirts of Hoyland will boost the local economy – creating at least a dozen new jobs during construction and bringing in the income and local spending power of nearly 90 new homeowners into the South Yorkshire town.
Being built off Wood Walk on land surrounded by mature woodland, Bellway’s Woodland Walk will comprise 83 new homes and feature three- and four-bedroom town houses, detached and semi-detached properties. The mix of homes, says Bellway, will ensure the development will prove to be a big draw for families – both old and new.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “There’s always a lot of excitement in the build up to a new development, but here in Hoyland things seem to have gone into overdrive already – and it’s easy to see why.”
“There aren’t many new developments built in such a lovely, wooded spot, but with ease of access to a host of big cities, plus all the local and regional amenities. And because of the make-up of Woodland Walk, it’s almost certainly going to become a bustling family community – full of happy families and even happier children.”
As part of its commitment to the local community, Bellway will be investing close to £1/2-million in primary and secondary education; £63,000 in local transport; over £110,000 on open space and close to £90,000 on BNG (Biodiversity Net Gains) initiatives.
“The good news surrounding the launch of a new housing development isn’t restricted to solely house buyers,” added Melanie. “The boost to the local economy is always significant and in the case of Woodland Walk, it’ll bring new homes, new jobs and an influx of new spending power into the local and regional community.”
The homes being built by Bellway will feature a mix of house types from its popular Artisan collection, which showcases the best in contemporary home design, while also celebrating the artisan traditions at the heart of Bellway’s rich heritage.
And, as with all new Bellway homes, the new homes in Hoyland are built to first-rate specifications; including energy saving features such as solar PV panels, EV car chargers and Smart Thermostats that all help to cut the cost of running a new home.
“Woodland Walk really does have everything – quality homes and a quality location, all in a place that people will be proud to call home,” said Melanie. “My advice would be for people to register early so that they can be amongst the first to hear all the big news – from initial launch to the buyer schemes designed to help people buy here in Hoyland.
Woodland Walk is due to be launched in the Spring – with launch prices announced just a few days beforehand.
