Since 1899, Edsbyn has been crafting fine furniture in Sweden, building a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship that continues to this day. Whilst embracing modern manufacturing methods, they have never compromised their ability to create bespoke furniture that meets individual customer needs.

The company’s Swedish heritage is reflected in their collaboration with leading designers such as Jens Fager, Andreas Engesvik and Thomas Eriksson Arkitekter, who bring contemporary Nordic design and functionality to their collections. Their furniture combines tried-and-tested designs with durability, ensuring pieces withstand daily use for years to come.

Sustainability has been at the heart of Edsbyn’s philosophy since its founding, when the abundant forest and timber resources first enabled their establishment. This ecological awareness was demonstrated early on through innovative resource management, exemplified by their Fanett stick chair. The chair, which has sold more than 5 million units, was cleverly designed to utilise waste wood from their ski production. Today, this commitment to sustainability continues, with wood waste being supplied to heating plants.

The company’s dedication to environmental responsibility is further evidenced by their status as the first office furniture manufacturer to receive the Nordic Ecolabel. Their products also meet Möbelfakta standards, certifying their excellence in environmental protection, quality assurance and social responsibility. Combined with their timeless designs that transcend fashion trends and their use of high-quality, durable materials, Edsbyn continues to set the standard for sustainable furniture manufacturing.
