ECF Unveils Plans for Sustainable Homes in Crescent Salford’s Adelphi Village
ECF has submitted plans for 263 high-quality homes, situated to the north of the Farmer Norton car park, adjacent to the Willohaus site, which is already under construction.Â
Old Adelphi forms part of Adelphi Village, a residential community of more than 800 homes situated to the east of River Irwell, and one of the zones that make up the ÂŁ2.5bn, 240-acre Crescent Salford masterplan.Â
Delivered by the Crescent Partnership, comprising Salford City Council, the University of Salford and ECF – a joint venture between Homes England, L&G and nationwide placemaker, Muse – the masterplan aims to provide more than 3,000 homes in total.Â
Designed by Buttress Architects, Old Adelphi features one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes across two buildings, standing at five and six storeys. The plans also include a third building adjacent to Willohaus – 100 Passivhaus apartments being delivered by ECF, which are due to complete in 2026.Â
As part of Adelphi Village, the Old Adelphi residential community will deliver green spaces, cycle parking to encourage active travel, accessible housing and disabled parking. The homes will be surrounded by trees, planting and outdoor space, increasing biodiversity and providing areas for residents to relax and socialise.Â
If Old Adelphi receives planning consent, work is due to begin in Spring 2026.Â
Lawrence Myatt, senior project manager at ECF, said: “Through Crescent Salford, we’re creating communities that are built to last, and this next stage of Adelphi Village will deliver a diverse mix of homes to meet the needs of people in Salford. The high-quality homes in Adelphi Village have been designed with sustainability, wellbeing, inclusivity and community in mind, and we look forward to progressing with this next element of the Crescent Salford masterplan as momentum continues.”
