Harley Haddow Strengthens Full-Service Offering with New In-House Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Capability
Multidisciplinary engineering consultancy Harley Haddow has launched an in-house geotechnical and geoenvironmental capability, led by new senior engineer Conor Fitzsimmons.
This development enhances Harley Haddow’s ability to assess and manage below-ground risks from the very start of a project – ensuring a fully integrated design approach alongside its established civil and structural engineering teams.
The new in-house service includes comprehensive site investigations and reporting from Phase 1 Desk Studies through to Phase 3 Remediation Strategies, coal mining risk assessments, contamination assessments and foundation advice.
Conor, who will be based in Harley Haddow’s Glasgow office, previously worked as a geo-environmental engineer at Mason Evans Partnership and, most recently, served as geotechnical project manager at Ardmore Point Ltd.
Colin Tait, director at Harley Haddow, said: “Bringing geotechnical expertise in-house further enhances our offering to clients while strengthening our own capabilities. Conor will be a valuable addition to Harley Haddow and our multi-disciplinary approach.”
Conor Fitzsimmons said: “My role at Harley Haddow gives me the opportunity to establish and develop an in-house geotechnical and geoenvironmental service is one I’m very proud to lead. Working closely with our civil and structural teams will allow us to deliver more coordinated, efficient and sustainable solutions for our clients.”
Harley Haddow’s approach has always been defined by collaboration, consistency and a commitment to client goals. Working closely with clients from the outset of each project, the firm ensures delivery to agreed financial, social and environmental objectives.
As a multi-disciplinary practice, Harley Haddow combines technical excellence with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Its cross-sector team brings together leading industry talent whose expertise has contributed to some of the UK’s most high-profile projects.
The addition of this new capability underlines Harley Haddow’s commitment to providing a complete, one-stop engineering service, delivering versatile, robust and environmentally responsible solutions that drive positive change within the built environment.
