Instarmac Collaborates with CITB to Promote Apprenticeship Opportunities and Funding for UK Employers

CITB

Instarmac, the Tamworth-based manufacturer behind the UltraTile and UltraCrete brands, is partnering with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to help raise awareness of opportunities provided by the CITB’s apprenticeship scheme for UK employers.

Though the number of new apprenticeship starters is up 2% year-on-year – and year-on-year achievements are up by 8%, ONS figures show that there are over 35,000 job vacancies that must be filled, indicating the continued extent of the sector’s skills shortage.

The CITB offers a range of grants, levies and funding options for businesses looking to bring an apprentice on board, with up to £11,000 available per apprentice during the course. These cover a range of expenses, from vocational costs to travel and accommodation costs for apprentices who must travel to or from work.

A keen supporter of youth careers in construction and other vocational trades, Instarmac delivers a series of online webinars and in-person training sessions aimed at young people and business owners alike, highlighting the value of apprenticeships as both a viable career option and beneficial business resource.

Their latest free online webinar, led by the CITB’s Rachel Dewar, is aimed at business owners – helping reveal the specific grants and funding available and guide the recruitment of new apprentices into the sector.

Lynne Flavell, UltraTile Campaign Manager at Instarmac, comments: “We’re determined to support young people’s route into apprenticeships, particularly in tiling, and Rachel’s expertise is invaluable in helping business owners understand and access the funding that’s available to them.

“Join us on the 19th to find out more about the specific funding options available to your business, and how you could benefit from taking the apprenticeship route.”
