News Guidelines
Place Guild brings together the people and businesses shaping the future of places – from homes and high streets to offices and public spaces. We believe thriving neighbourhoods and workplaces are built through good ideas, shared knowledge, and strong connections.
Our platform aims to support real news and expert opinion in the property, construction, and built environment sectors. All content should be informative, original, and relevant to professionals in these industries.
What We Publish
We’re interested in stories that are timely, newsworthy, and grounded in substance. These could include:
Commercial or residential property development
Architecture, planning, or civil engineering updates
Interior design and commercial fit-out
Sustainability, energy use, and environmental news
Transport and infrastructure schemes
Construction innovation and modern methods of building
Urban and rural development plans or milestones
Agricultural or land use matters (where planning or innovation-related)
Retail and hospitality property/venue openings or refurbishments
Announcements about significant exhibitions, installations, or cultural events with relevance to placemaking, regeneration, or the built environment (e.g. public art exhibitions, design showcases, or architecture festivals)
- Industry trends, insights, and expert commentary relating to the above
Stories must represent a launch, milestone, achievement, or professional insight. Purely promotional or recycled content will not be accepted.
What We Don’t Publish
To maintain editorial quality and focus, we do not accept:
- Property sales-driven content, such as housing availability updates or property listings from developers
CSR, charity, or community involvement stories (unless demonstrably impactful or sector-wide)
Care home or nursery inspection results
Internal awards, certifications, or audit announcements
- Minor or routine event announcements such as restaurant special offers, seasonal menus, or venue promotions unless clearly tied to a broader place-based initiative or development
Sales-led or SEO-focused content lacking substance or a strong hook
Duplicate content already published on your own or client sites
We reserve the right to reject any submission that does not align with these standards.
