Pulse Consult has expanded its footprint in the public sector by being appointed as a supplier on the Government Commercial Agency’s (GCA) RM6356 Construction Professional Services Framework.
The consultancy has been selected for Lot 3, covering Project Management, and Lot 4, covering Commercial Management, achieving the highest possible quality scores in both categories. This four-year contract represents a notable development in public procurement, combining specialist agility with national-level accreditation through the government’s streamlined commercial delivery body.
As an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, the Government Commercial Agency serves as the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation. It connects public and private sectors to deliver optimal outcomes for the UK and its citizens, using commercial expertise to simplify procurement and redirect resources towards essential public services.
Ian Carey, managing director at Pulse Consult, commented: “Securing top marks for quality on the GCA framework proves that our scale is our greatest asset. We provide the personal accountability and director-led service of a specialist firm, but with the proven technical capacity to deliver national infrastructure. This appointment allows us to offer a high-calibre, responsive alternative to the traditional large-scale consultancies that have historically dominated this space.”
To ensure delivery across the UK, Pulse Consult employs a collaborative model that leverages strong regional expertise. This includes partnerships with Doig+Smith in Scotland and Rainey & Best in Northern Ireland. This strategy guarantees that public sector clients benefit from the rigorous compliance of a national framework alongside vital local knowledge for on-the-ground projects.
Ian added: “This appointment is a cornerstone of our broader national growth strategy. It builds on a streak of recent national framework successes with Fusion21, ESPO and Procure Partnerships, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted partner for both framework providers and the public sector. We are proud to support the government’s mandate to diversify the public sector supply chain while deepening our existing relationships with local authorities across the country such as Leicester, Lincoln, Stratford-upon-Avon and the London Borough of Suffolk.”
The success with GCA also reflects Pulse Consult’s increasing presence in the residential sector, where it has recently secured frameworks with major providers including Platform Housing Group, The Guinness Partnership, Hyde Housing and Sovereign Network Group. By leveraging its ability to provide an agile, senior-led service, Pulse is positioned to continue its rapid expansion across both public and private sectors nationwide.
