UKREiiF to Host Dedicated Healthcare Day as Part of 2027 Event

UKREiiF (The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum) will introduce a specialised Healthcare Day at its 2027 event, scheduled for 18–20 May in Leeds. This initiative aims to unite NHS estates leaders with investors, developers, and local authorities engaged in healthcare infrastructure delivery across the UK.

The sixth annual forum anticipates participation from approximately 50 NHS Trusts, alongside representatives from NHS England, the NHS Alliance, developers, investors, architects, masterplanners, local authorities, and government officials. This diverse group of stakeholders, who rarely converge at healthcare conferences, will foster direct dialogue and partnership opportunities.

As the NHS and the broader healthcare sector confront increasing demand, evolving care models, and net-zero targets, the Healthcare Day will concentrate on the future of healthcare estates. Key topics include capital investment, public-private partnerships, key worker housing, community health facilities, and sustainable healthcare environments.

Healthcare infrastructure is increasingly recognised as a vital element in regeneration and placemaking efforts. Facilities ranging from major hospitals and community diagnostic centres to primary care sites, integrated care campuses, and high street health hubs contribute to building healthier, more resilient communities.

The programme will explore how healthcare infrastructure can be embedded within wider regeneration and economic development strategies to enhance health outcomes, attract investment, generate employment, and support long-term community resilience.

UKREiiF offers NHS organisations and public sector bodies access to potential partners, funding avenues, and industry expertise essential for advancing healthcare infrastructure projects. Conversely, private sector participants gain direct engagement with senior NHS decision-makers responsible for planning, delivering, and transforming healthcare estates.

Attendees will include NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems, local authorities, government representatives, healthcare developers and operators, institutional investors and funders, architects, planners, masterplanners, as well as regeneration and infrastructure specialists.

Themes will cover healthcare infrastructure investment, NHS estate transformation, community-based healthcare facilities, health on the high street, healthy placemaking and urban design, key worker housing, public-private partnerships, sustainable and net-zero healthcare estates, integrated care environments, future models of care, and regeneration and economic growth.
