The company’s managing director expressed their delight in helping the nursery achieve their dream space, working alongside a project management firm. Vantage demolished the condemned building and replaced it with a new single-story structure featuring classrooms, reception area, toilets, and outdoor play space. The nursery’s managing director expressed immense gratitude for Vantage’s work in completing the project successfully.

Vantage & Co stepped in to help build a brand-new space for Tigger’s Nursery at Tetbury in Gloucestershire after the project was thrown into doubt when work carried out by a previous contractor was condemned.

Managing director Stephen Rankin said Vantage, based in Lapworth in Warwickshire, had been delighted to help save the day for the award-winning 163-place private nursery.

“When we heard about the difficulties Tigger’s was going through we were delighted to be able to step in and help construct the new purpose-built site so that they could continue their fantastic work.

“We were incredibly moved by Tigger’s managing director Theresa Ogden when she told us about the impact of the problems they had had, and only too pleased to do what we could to make the dream of creating this new space come true.

“Our team worked alongside Stuart James Clark Limited, which provided project management services, to start again and make sure that in the end the nursery had a base it could be really proud of.”

Stephen said Vantage – the current Federation of Master Builders’ overall builder of the year – had demolished the condemned oak framed building and replaced it with the new steel framed single storey space of two classrooms, reception area and toilets, as well as the outdoor amenity and play space for the children to enjoy.

Theresa Ogden said she could not thank Vantage enough for the work they had done.

As well as being the current Federation of Master Builders’ overall builder of the year, Vantage lifted the title for best residential property of the year at the Constructing Excellence West Midlands awards for its work restoring Old Heaton House in Birmingham.

Commercial director Harriet Ward has also been shortlisted as a finalist in the Design and Build UK Women in Construction Awards, whilst the company is also a finalist in Housebuilder Media Awards 2024 for best refurbishment project.
