Yakult has shifted its UK headquarters to Power Road Studios in Chiswick as it marks three decades of operation in the UK. The relocation introduces the company to a modern 3,200 sq ft office space tailored to support its evolving operational requirements, fostering a collaborative and flexible working environment.

Previously based in West Ruislip, Yakult’s London team now occupies the new premises under a long-term lease. Power Road Studios, part of Feldberg Capital’s Akoya venture, is a refurbished 1930s factory converted into a sustainable and creative campus. The site has become a sought-after location for innovative businesses seeking distinctive, high-quality workspace in West London.

The campus provides various amenities, including an on-site café, gym, and landscaped outdoor areas, enhancing the working experience for its occupants. Yakult’s move highlights growing confidence in London’s office market, particularly in West London, where Chiswick is emerging as a dynamic global business hub. The area continues to attract a diverse mix of multinational corporations and start-ups, supported by ongoing investments in infrastructure.

The relocation coincides with a leadership change at Yakult UK & Ireland. Shinji Yamaguchi has been appointed Managing Director, succeeding Hiroaki Yoshimura, who now serves as Managing Director of Yakult Europe at the company’s European headquarters in the Netherlands. Since entering the European market in 1993, Yakult has played a leading role in promoting gut health awareness across the region.

Shinji Yamaguchi said: “Relocating to Power Road Studios marks an exciting new chapter for Yakult UK operations. The space reflects how we work today: more collaborative, more flexible and better connected. As we celebrate 30 years in the UK, this move demonstrates our continued commitment to growth, innovation and investing in our people and operations in the country.”

Rebecca Hore, Associate Director of Asset Management at Feldberg Capital, added: “Yakult’s decision to relocate to Power Road Studios underlines the strength of demand for high-quality, design-led workspace in well-connected west London locations. Our Studio 5 development delivers new build, high quality office space with ESG at the heart of the design to ensure we are meeting the evolving needs of modern occupiers. We are very excited for Yakult to join our ever-growing campus.”
