Andrew Martin Unveils 29th Interior Design Review Celebrating Global Talent and Innovation

Global design brand Andrew Martin launches of the 29th volume of its celebrated Interior Design Review. Often referred to as “The Bible of Interior Design”, the book has become an essential reference point for the industry, shining a spotlight on 100 of the most talented designers working across the globe today. Each edition is a live directory of professional industry leaders offering a curated showcase of the most original, creative and boundary-pushing interiors from the past year.
First published in 1996, the Interior Design Review has chronicled the evolving story of interior design, reflecting the social, political and cultural influences that shape it. This year’s edition celebrates nearly three decades of design excellence.
The achievements of the past 28 winners of the International Interior Designer of the Year award, alongside the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Anouska Hempel, Lady Weinberg, offer a fascinating comparison. From Kelly Hoppen’s trailblazing ‘East meets West’ style, to Zeynep Fadillioglu’s historic mosque design, Axel Vervoordt’s influential minimalism, Stephen Falcke’s homage to African tribal art, Kit Kemp’s vibrant, layered aesthetic, Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s celebrity-infused interiors, Jorge Canete’s poetic sensibility, and Ben Wu’s leadership in China’s golden generation of designers. Each designer has made an enduring impact on the global design stage.
“Trying and selecting 100 of the world’s top interior designers is an equally invidious and intimidating assignment. There is no end of accomplished and assured practitioners, so I’m often asked what are the parameters for selection. It’s important to underline that evaluating design is subjective, not scientific, comparable to picking a pet from a stray dogs’ home. For me, it’s about a deep understanding of place, a sensitivity to those who inhabit it and the ability to surprise, inspire and leave a lasting impression” – Martin Waller, Founder of Andrew Martin.
