EDGE Secures Key Role in University of Leeds’ Construction Framework

EDGE, a prominent property and construction consultancy, has been appointed to the University of Leeds’ newly established Construction Professional Services Framework. The consultancy has secured positions across four lots, enabling it to support the university’s extensive estate investment programme.
Under this Framework Agreement, which is set to run for an initial four years with an option to extend up to eight years, EDGE will provide a range of professional services. These include project management, quantity surveying, cost consultancy, building surveying, and multi-disciplinary support, all aimed at advancing the university’s estate development.
The framework offers the University of Leeds, ranked among the world’s top 100 universities, a streamlined procurement route for a diverse portfolio of estate projects. These projects encompass refurbishment and reconfiguration, upgrades to science and research spaces, net-zero and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure improvements, enhancements to student experience and public realm areas, as well as building fabric, compliance, and accessibility works.
EDGE’s appointment builds on its established presence in Leeds and will be led locally by Ben Small, Sam Bird, and Sophie Barrow. Additionally, EDGE has direct experience working on the University of Leeds estate, having supported projects like the Health Sciences Library, Baines Wing, and the Cheney Accelerator.
