Generator Studios secures three new tenants in Newcastle

Three businesses have taken a total of 5,969 sq ft of office space at Generator Studios in Newcastle, leaving three suites available across the building’s ground and first floors.

Bradley Hall Commercial Agency Surveyor Lucy Mouter completed the lettings in recent months. Tiny Dragon Productions, an immersive events specialist, took 2,619 sq ft in June, moving into the former suite of Lantern Building Consultancy, which has relocated to larger premises within the development.

Biotechnology company InvenireX took 1,012 sq ft in Suite 2.7 in August. Fintech firm OTCX followed in September, leasing 2,338 sq ft in Suite 3.10.

The remaining suites provide a total of 3,196 sq ft of office accommodation. Generator Studios is a Grade II listed building between Manors and the Quayside. Built more than 100 years ago to house the power system for Newcastle’s electric tramway, it has since been converted into office and creative workspace.

Facilities at the development include breakout spaces, a gym, showers, meeting rooms and superfast broadband. It also offers access to Newcastle city centre, the Quayside and local transport links.

“Generator Studios continues to be a really attractive option for businesses looking for something a little different from a traditional office environment,” Mouter said.

“We have seen strong demand for the space over the last few months, and it has been great to welcome Tiny Dragon Productions, InvenireX and OTCX to the building.

“The combination of the building’s character, flexible office accommodation and location close to the city centre and Quayside makes Generator Studios particularly appealing to a wide range of occupiers.

“We still have three suites available, so I would encourage any businesses looking for office space in Newcastle to get in touch and see what is available.”
