The Homebuilding & Renovating Show is scheduled to take place at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh, on 3 and 4 October 2026. The event offers homeowners and project planners an opportunity to access expert advice, explore the latest products, and engage directly with suppliers.
This comprehensive show addresses a wide range of topics including self-build projects, extensions, conversions, renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, heating solutions, energy efficiency, and planning permission. Admission is free on both days.
Attendees can arrange complimentary one-to-one consultations at the Advice Centre, where professionals such as architects, structural engineers, planning specialists, finance advisors, and eco consultants provide impartial guidance tailored to any home project.
A series of free seminars and masterclasses will run throughout the event. Scottish architect Allan Corfield will present strategies for increasing living space without extending the footprint, focusing on loft, garage, and cellar conversions. Heating and eco specialist David Hilton will discuss methods to improve the warmth and cost-efficiency of older homes, covering heat pumps and the latest retrofit technologies. Landscape and garden designer MarieAnne Messenger will offer insights into outdoor design, while finance expert Tom McSherry will explain approaches to funding and reclaiming VAT on self-build projects.
The exhibition will feature 130 exhibitors showcasing products and services related to kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, heating systems, structural components, flooring, lighting, and renewable energy solutions.
The Edinburgh event is part of a series of eight Homebuilding & Renovating Shows held annually across the UK. The show’s opening hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday 3 October and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday 4 October.
Additionally, the Homebuilding & Renovating Show will return to Glasgow at the Scottish Exhibition Centre on 22 and 23 May 2027.
