Hyphen, an international architectural practice working with many of the world’s leading brands and digital infrastructure developers, has announced the appointment of Eva Diego as its new Chief Executive Officer.

As part of a planned transition, effective from January 2026, Eva succeeds Eddie Miles, who remains with Hyphen in the role of Chair.

Eva’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Hyphen’s ongoing growth and evolution, as the business looks to build on decades of experience delivering complex projects across retail, hospitality, workplace, logistics and the fast-growing digital infrastructure sector.

An architect with more than 25 years’ experience, Eva has been instrumental in Hyphen’s multi-national growth. She established the Madrid studio, led the company’s expansion into and across Latin America, and forged long-term partnerships with some of the world’s most influential technology and lifestyle brands.

As CEO, Eva will focus on strengthening Hyphen’s advisory capability, deepening relationships with major clients, and expanding the firm’s work in international architecture and digital infrastructure.

Eva Diego, CEO of Hyphen, said:

“I feel privileged to be taking Hyphen into its exciting next chapter. Global demand for critical digital infrastructure is reshaping the built environment, and we are well positioned to lead. We act as both expert delivery partners and trusted architectural advisors for our clients, helping them to navigate complex and technically demanding projects while ensuring commercial viability.”

Hyphen is recognised as one of the world’s leading architectural practices and is ranked 79th in the World Architecture 100 (2025). Having delivered work in 27 countries during 2025 from 11 offices, the business has become a trusted partner to real estate developers, asset owners and investors across the UK, Europe, Latin America and beyond.

The business has seen turnover more than triple over the past decade, while its international footprint has grown significantly. The proportion of turnover from outside the UK has risen steadily, from 46% in 2016 to around 63% in 2025.

Hyphen partners with leading lifestyle brands such as PVH – owner of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger – for whom it has delivered stores in over 50 countries. In the digital infrastructure sector, Hyphen serves as architectural advisory partner for CloudHQ on large-scale projects, including a $5 billion data centre campus in Querétaro, Mexico, and is working with Elea Data Centers on the acclaimed masterplan for Rio AI City, an AI-ready data centre district in Rio de Janeiro.

Eddie Miles, Chair of Hyphen, added:

“Eva’s appointment reaffirms Hyphen’s ambition to become a truly international practice. She has been central to the business’s growth over many years, and I have total confidence in her leadership. My role now is to support Eva and the wider leadership team, ensuring continuity while the business continues to develop.”
