Magnet, the UK’s leading kitchen specialist, has announced the appointment of two senior executives to its leadership team as part of its ongoing growth strategy. Rupert Nichols has joined as Customer and Commercial Director, while Guy Tooth will take on the role of Supply Chain Director.

These appointments are pivotal as Magnet embarks on a three-year growth plan and transitions into a standalone UK business following new ownership. Rupert brings over 15 years of extensive experience in senior leadership roles within retail and ecommerce, demonstrating a proven ability to drive customer-focused growth and commercial transformation. His previous position was as Customer and Commercial Director at Toolstation, and he has also held senior roles at Studio Retail, Dixons Carphone, and Sainsbury’s.

In his new capacity, Rupert will oversee Magnet’s customer and commercial teams, with a focus on enhancing the customer proposition, broadening market reach, and achieving sustainable growth. Rupert Nichols stated, “With a strong foundation and a talented team already in place, I’m really looking forward to being part of the next phase of the Group’s journey. Magnet is a strong brand with a trusted reputation, supported by long-standing partnerships with our suppliers. My focus will be on building on those strengths while ensuring even more homeowners discover the brand and experience what makes our kitchens so special.”

Alongside Rupert, Guy Tooth has been appointed as Supply Chain Director, bringing with him more than 15 years of leadership experience in supply chain and operations within manufacturing environments. Guy has previously held senior positions at Greencore, Morrisons, and PepsiCo, and most recently served as Operations and Supply Chain Director at Moores Furniture Group.

Guy Tooth expressed his enthusiasm about joining Magnet, saying, “I’m really pleased to be joining Magnet at such an exciting point in its journey. The business has already made great progress, and there’s a clear opportunity to now build on that by strengthening how our UK supply chain supports both our customers and our growth ambitions. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and continuing to strengthen our manufacturing and delivery capabilities to ensure we deliver even greater value for our customers.”

Sophie Rose, CEO of Magnet Group, commented on the new appointments, stating, “I’m delighted to welcome Rupert and Guy to our business. Rupert brings strong commercial leadership and will play a key role in helping us continue to grow while staying firmly focused on delivering a high-quality experience for our customers. At the same time, our British manufacturing and heritage remain a real strength for us. With Guy’s hands-on manufacturing experience and deep knowledge of the KBB industry, he will play an important role in shaping a supply chain that’s fit for the future and supports our wider growth ambitions.”
