Courts Club, Stables Tavern and The Lawn Club Gear Up for a Summer full of Sport
As summer approaches, Manchester is gearing up for a season packed with sporting events, with fans already planning their viewing spots. Three standout venues—Courts Club in St John’s, The Lawn Club in Spinningfields, and Stables Tavern—are set to offer prime locations to catch the action.
Courts Club, known as Manchester’s social sports hub, will feature the city’s largest outdoor screen alongside a substantial indoor display. The venue is partnering with Aperol to deliver a vibrant summer experience, including pre-match quizzes, Bocce ball competitions, and Aperol’s halftime and full-time Aperidisco events featuring DJs, entertainment, and giveaways. Entry for England’s group matches requires purchasing general admission tickets, as seating operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no table reservations. Food options include street food sharers from The Dugout, complemented by a plentiful supply of Aperol. To accommodate unpredictable weather, Courts Club has installed a large stretch tent and outdoor heaters, ensuring fans can enjoy the fanzone regardless of conditions.
Meanwhile, The Lawn Club in Spinningfields, supported by TUI, remains a favourite for watching England’s games. The venue offers a lively atmosphere with a large outdoor screen on the lawn and multiple indoor screens. Visitors can expect DJs, quality food, and cold drinks, with the first drink included in the £10 ticket price for England’s group matches. Various packages are also available, making it an ideal spot for enjoying match days with friends in the sunshine or indoors.
Stables Tavern provides a welcoming environment for every England game this summer, broadcasting matches across both front and back rooms to accommodate all fans. No tickets or bookings are needed; patrons can simply walk in and enjoy the games. With kickoffs scheduled at 9pm and 10pm, there is ample time to sample a range of beers, including rotating selections from local breweries and guest favourites. Fans can also take advantage of outdoor seating on Grape Street while the weather remains warm, pairing a pie and a pint before heading inside for the match.
