Nottingham Welcomes Europe’s First Indoor Action Park, Slick City

Nottingham has officially unveiled Slick City, Europe’s first indoor action park, located on Redfield Road in Lenton. This new venue promises to be a haven for adventure enthusiasts, featuring a vast array of high-energy slides and competitive games suitable for all ages.

Spanning 50,000 sq ft, Slick City boasts 16 different dry slides, catering to children aged four and above. The facility also includes a café for visitors to recharge and a large soft play area designed for younger children aged zero to six.

Thrill-seekers can experience the excitement of the Hyperloop, a twisting tube slide, race friends down a four-lane slide that ends on a giant air cushioned mat, or take on the Riptide, known as one of the park’s most intense attractions. Additionally, the park features the world’s first UV AirGlider, a gravity-powered aerial coaster that allows riders to glide above the park, simulating the sensation of flight.

The Nottingham location, developed in collaboration with indoor adventure park operator Activeon, marks the European launch of the Slick City brand, which has over 95 sites either operational or in development across 32 states in the United States.

Keely Buchanan, the park manager at Slick City Nottingham, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We’ve been blown away by the level of excitement there’s been across Nottingham and beyond, leading up to the opening date of Slick City. The response from the community has been fantastic and we’re already seeing plenty of bookings from thrill seekers eager to experience everything the action park has to offer, as well as party celebrations from people looking to make birthdays even more fun and special.”

Keely highlighted the park’s unique appeal, saying, “There are not many adventure experiences the whole family can enjoy, regardless of age, and this is what makes Slick City unique. Whether you visit with friends, family or even colleagues, we create those wow moments that you won’t forget. Now that we’ve officially opened our doors, we’re excited to finally welcome the people of Nottingham to experience all Slick City has to offer.”

Visitors can choose from 90-minute or 120-minute sessions, with prices ranging from £19.95 to £24.95 per person. Spectators can enter for free, and students and emergency service workers are eligible for a 20% discount on 120-minute sessions.

Slick City is positioned as an ideal venue for family outings, birthday parties, group events, and corporate experiences, offering customisable packages starting at £22.95 per guest, with additional options available for a memorable celebration. The park also hosts weekly sensory sessions on Mondays, priced at £14.95, which include one free carer ticket and provide a quieter environment with reduced noise and crowds.

For adults seeking their own thrill, plans are in place to introduce adult-only sessions for those aged 18 and over. Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy the air courts, featuring an air-tracked floor that enhances the excitement of basketball and football.

During term time, Slick City Nottingham operates from 10am on Mondays and Fridays, with after-school sessions available from 4pm on Tuesday to Thursday, and opening at 9am on weekends. The venue will be open daily from 9am during school holidays, including the upcoming Easter break.
