Porcelain Superstore Launches Salcombe Cotto Tile with Rustic Charm and Practical Design

Porcelain Superstore has introduced Salcombe Cotto, a new tile that combines earthy tones, a subtle worn pattern, and affordability, making it suitable for both wall and floor applications. The tile’s design offers a rustic warmth and timeless appeal that integrates seamlessly with a variety of home interiors.

Measuring 45cm by 45cm, each tile features a distinctive scored design dividing it into four sections. Once grouted, this creates the illusion of smaller individual tiles, delivering an intricate encaustic-style effect while reducing installation complexity.

Abbas Youssefi, Founder of Porcelain Superstore, described Salcombe Cotto as striking a balance between vintage character and modern practicality. He said: “Salcombe Cotto has that wonderful balance of looking as though it has been part of a home for years, while offering all the practicality you expect from modern porcelain.”

He added: “The warm terracotta tones and softly worn pattern give it a relaxed, vintage character, so it brings instant warmth and personality to a space without feeling overly decorative.”

Manufactured from durable Spanish porcelain, the tile is designed to be hardwearing and easy to maintain. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems and suitable for installation around fireplaces.

Youssefi emphasised its versatility, stating: “Salcombe Cotto is incredibly easy to live with. The tough porcelain is a brilliant choice for busy kitchens, hallways and bathrooms, while its warm, timeless palette works effortlessly alongside natural woods, painted cabinetry and softer neutral finishes.”

Salcombe Cotto Patterned Tiles are currently available from Porcelain Superstore at a price of £30 per square metre.
