Porcelain Superstore has introduced two new tile collections featuring rich brown tones, responding to a growing demand for warmer interior colours after years dominated by cool greys and whites.
The independent tile retailer’s latest offerings, Casa Amber and Alchemy Corton, are designed specifically for wall applications and showcase a comforting palette that adds depth and sophistication to living spaces.
Casa Amber presents a glossy finish that reflects natural light, positioned between burnt caramel and polished leather shades. Its small format size offers versatility, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks and shower walls, where it imparts subtle elegance.
In contrast, Alchemy Corton adopts a darker, more contemporary aesthetic inspired by weathered steel sheets. This collection delivers a dramatic effect, ideal for those seeking bold design statements.
Abbas Youssefi, Managing Director of Porcelain Superstore, explained the shift in consumer preferences: “For years, white and cool grey were the safe choices for homeowners, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. But many people are now finding those schemes can feel a little cold, especially in spaces where they want comfort and character.” He added, “Warmer shades such as brown, caramel, terracotta and copper bring a much softer mood to the home. They still feel sophisticated, but they add depth and richness in a way that stark white often cannot. And they are incredibly versatile too, working beautifully with natural materials, from wood and stone, creating a layered and lived-in look.”
Beyond these new collections, Porcelain Superstore also offers other tiles in warm tones. The large format Foundry Copper tile features rusty hues and a surface layered with earthy browns and weathered bronze, evoking aged metal softened over time and lending a modern rustic vibe.
For those seeking period-inspired charm, the Regency Caramel tile draws from Victorian interiors and is finished with a glossy glaze. Its golden-brown colour creates a welcoming atmosphere and adds character to any room.
Abbas emphasised the appeal of these tones: “Caramel, copper and brown tones will introduce warmth without overwhelming the room.”
Porcelain Superstore’s range of warming tiles is currently available, with prices starting at £52.50 per square metre.
