Pulse Consult, an independent construction consultancy, has enhanced its senior leadership by appointing Billie Wallace-Moth as director of its East Midlands Hub. This move supports the company’s growing focus on residential services in the region.

Wallace-Moth brings over ten years of experience from AtkinsRéalis (formerly Faithful+Gould), where she managed major, award-winning projects within the private residential and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sectors. Her expertise in complex project delivery covers both the East Midlands and London, including leading two significant projects for Fusion Group and the RICS award-winning iQ Sneinton Market development.

Known as a respected voice in the industry, Billie frequently participates in panel discussions and networking events addressing the Building Safety Act 2022, high-risk buildings, and the Gateway 2 submission process.

In her new role at Pulse, Billie will drive the expansion of the firm’s residential capabilities across the East Midlands. Her priorities include securing new projects in Build-to-Rent (BTR) apartments, PBSA, and private sector housing. Additionally, she will oversee the development and mentoring of junior staff, guiding them towards professional chartership while contributing to Pulse’s strategic goal of growing its regional delivery team.

Commenting on her appointment, Billie said: “Moving to a dedicated project management consultancy like Pulse Consult allows me to get right back to the core of what I love doing. Pulse’s agility, vision and focus on delivering high-quality residential environments create the perfect platform for this next stage in my career.

“My focus will be on expanding our market footprint, driving high standards on the delivery of high-risk buildings, and mentoring the next generation of talented project managers. I’m thrilled to join the East Midlands team at such a dynamic time.”

This appointment coincides with Pulse Consult’s expanding national presence in the student living sector. The consultancy’s recent projects include the £20 million, 185-bed Kennington Lane PBSA development in London, a £20 million, 184-bed student scheme in Bristol, and a growing £300 million pipeline of high-density living and regeneration developments across the UK.

Jonathan Aldworth, board director at Pulse Consult, said: “Strategically, we have been looking for some time for the person who is the right fit for our growth plans and culture, and I am absolutely delighted that Billie shared in this vision and agreed to join us.

“Billie is an exciting talent who will further strengthen our senior leadership team, bringing a wealth of experience developed over the past decade as she progressed through the ranks at AtkinsRéalis. She is highly regarded for her strong relationship-management skills and has built an impressive client base across the region.

“Her ideas, energy and extensive experience of working with clients within the private sector perfectly complement our existing expertise and support our continued growth across the East Midlands. We are incredibly excited about Billie’s appointment and look forward to the contribution she will make to our team, our clients and the continued growth of the wider business.”
