Green has emerged as a leading choice for interior design among British homeowners, according to recent findings from eco-friendly paint brand Victory Colours. The research indicates a significant 20 per cent increase in searches for the term ‘Shades of Green’ on Pinterest’s Home DĂ©cor category over the past month.

The team at Victory Colours attributes this trend to the colour’s strong association with nature and its remarkable versatility. Victoria Yardley, Founder of Victory Colours, commented on the trend, stating: “Green has a natural ability to make a space feel calm, balanced and inviting. People are increasingly looking to create homes that feel restorative and connected to nature, and green does that beautifully.”

Yardley further explained the adaptability of green tones, saying, “Whether it’s a soft sage, an earthy olive or a deeper forest tone, green is incredibly adaptable. It works as a subtle neutral in some schemes, but can also add richness and character when used more boldly. It’s a colour that feels timeless, comforting and easy to live with, so it is no surprise homeowners are scouring Pinterest for inspiration.”

Victory Colours offers an extensive selection of green shades, including the deep Ayton Green and rich Katniss, as well as brighter options like Peastachio and the Cornwall-inspired Coming Home Trees. Yardley noted, “That wealth of choice makes green incredibly easy to work with, whether you want to create a light, calming backdrop or add depth and character to a room. Homeowners can feel confident about finding a green that feels personal to them and their home.”

In addition to their diverse colour palette, Victory Colours’ paints are environmentally friendly, manufactured using responsible ingredients and are virtually free from harmful VOCs, promoting a healthy indoor atmosphere. The range of green paint is currently available, priced at £44.95 for 2.5 litres of matt emulsion.

*The increase in searches for ‘Shades of Green’ was recorded for the month ending 27 March 2026 in Pinterest’s Home DĂ©cor category across Great Britain and Ireland.
