Survey Solutions Strengthens Construction Monitoring with Site-Eye Acquisition
Survey Solutions, recognised as the UK’s largest independent engineering surveying and monitoring firm, has expanded its service portfolio through the acquisition of Site-Eye, a specialist in construction site time-lapse technology.
Site-Eye, which has operated for over 24 years, offers expertise in construction time-lapse cameras, filming, and media production. The company serves clients nationwide from its offices in Hebden Bridge and Brighton. This acquisition enhances Survey Solutions’ existing surveying and monitoring capabilities, broadening its range of services.
This transaction represents the third acquisition by Survey Solutions following its management buyout in December 2023, supported by private equity firm WestBridge. Earlier acquisitions include JWG Survey & Engineering, a rail and highway survey and monitoring specialist acquired in October 2024, and SurvaTec, a power and water utility feasibility expert, purchased in March 2025.
Gareth Evans-McClave, Managing Director of Site-Eye, will continue with the company post-acquisition. He commented: “We’ve built a fantastic reputation over the past 24 years by delivering high-quality time-lapse and construction monitoring services to clients across the UK. Joining Survey Solutions is an exciting opportunity for our business, our team and our clients, enabling us to build on that success while becoming part of a larger group that shares our commitment to quality and customer service.”
Survey Solutions has experienced significant growth recently and now operates from 14 regional offices, including its new headquarters in Birmingham. Its client base features major industry players such as Wates, M Group, WSP, AECOM, Morgan Sindall, Mace, Galliford Try, Balfour Beatty, and Kier.
David Lowe, CEO of Survey Solutions, stated: “Site-Eye is a well-established business with an excellent reputation and highly complementary expertise. This acquisition further strengthens our construction monitoring capabilities and enables us to offer our clients an even broader range of services. We look forward to welcoming Gareth and the team to Survey Solutions as we continue to grow our business and deliver market-leading survey and monitoring solutions across the UK.”
Rebecca Sinclair, Investment Director at WestBridge, added: “The acquisition of Site Eye is the third in our partnership with Survey Solutions. It marks another step in our buy and build strategy and further strengthens Survey Solutions’ position as one of the UK’s leading providers of surveying and monitoring solutions. We look forward to supporting Survey Solutions as it continues to pursue growth both organically and via further acquisitions.”
