UK Construction Week Birmingham Opens Registration for 2026 Event at NEC
Registration is now open for UK Construction Week (UKCW) Birmingham, set to take place at the NEC from 29 September to 1 October 2026. The event serves as a national hub for the built environment sector to connect, collaborate, and address the evolving challenges within construction.
Sponsored by Wyre, HotelPlanner, SolarEdge, and Build Warranty, UKCW Birmingham will showcase over 250 leading brands and feature 200 speakers delivering more than 150 hours of CPD-accredited seminars across five stages. The event has been redesigned to meet the current demands of the industry, focusing on skills shortages, sustainability, productivity, and project delivery.
Martin Hurn, Editorial Director of UKCW Birmingham, emphasised the event’s strategic importance: “UKCW Birmingham has an important role to play as a national platform for the built environment to connect. Its location at the centre of the UK matters. With so much infrastructure, regeneration and development activity taking place across the Midlands and North, Birmingham is the right place to bring the industry together.” He added, “This year, we want UKCW to be more than an exhibition. It needs to be a meeting place for leadership, ideas, collaboration and practical solutions, helping the sector address the challenges that are shaping construction today and in the years ahead.”
The three-day event will bring together construction leaders, decision-makers, and innovators to explore the latest products, technologies, and ideas shaping the future of the built environment. The Main Stage will focus on critical industry issues, supported by a comprehensive seminar programme across five additional stages offering practical insights for businesses.
Networking remains central to UKCW Birmingham, featuring industry roundtables and meet-the-buyer sessions within the Build Connect Networking Lounge. The exhibitor floor will facilitate direct engagement between visitors and suppliers.
New for 2026 is the Futurebuild Innovation Showcase, highlighting cutting-edge products, technologies, and materials transforming construction. The event will be officially opened by architect and Channel 4 presenter George Clarke and will include seminars, workshops, live demonstrations, and extensive networking opportunities.
Key event sections include:
- Roofing, Cladding & Insulation – focusing on innovations in durability, efficiency, weather protection, and architectural design
- Digitalisation – showcasing how technology, automation, and AI are reshaping planning and building processes
- Futurebuild Innovation Showcase – a new feature presenting transformative products and solutions

UKCW Birmingham builds on the success of its sister event, UK Construction Week London, held from 12 to 14 May 2026. Exhibitors and visitors praised the London show for its business opportunities and vibrant atmosphere.
Duncan la Barre, Head of Marketing at NavLive, commented: “It’s our first time at UKCW and it has far exceeded our expectations. Our stand has been consistently busy with visitors queuing to speak to us about our product. We’ve made a number of sales so the return on investment has been excellent.”
Charlie Brown, Technical Manager at Why Media, said: “It’s our first time at UKCW; we’ve done lots of business and also had lots of fun! We’re definitely coming back – 100%!”
Julian Sullivan, Specification Manager at Billi UK, added: “The show has generated conversations with architects, MEPs, contractors. The full gambit of people we want to speak to on a daily basis.”
Nicholas Naidu, CEO of Alive Labs, remarked: “It’s got a great buzz about it. It’s nice to be among all the new technologies that are being presented to the industry, and it’s been a great opportunity to meet with a lot of likeminded professionals.”
Andrew Dyson, CEO of Build Warranty, noted: “We’ve had a high calibre of enquiries – it’s been very promising. Being headline sponsor has also given us a good catchment.”
