Wecasa, a French startup and a leading platform for home services, active in the UK since 2021, announces a €18 million Series B funding round. This strategic operation was led by its historical investors Serena and blisce/, joined by ISAI and new participant iXO Private Equity. This marks a significant milestone in Wecasa’s growth, enabling it to meet the growing demand from European households seeking practical and accessible solutions to simplify their daily lives.
A strong trajectory for European ambitions
In an uncertain economic climate, this funding reflects the strength of Wecasa’s business model. With €60 million in business volume in 2024 across the UK and France and profitability achieved in the first half of the year, the company demonstrates controlled and sustainable growth. Unlike many other players in the sector, Wecasa has maintained its entire workforce without any redundancies since its inception in 2016, and it has even strengthened its teams with over 50 hires this year. The company plans to create an additional 50 positions, reaching a workforce of 200 employees within 12 to 18 months. It also collaborates with 10,000 independent partners, generating the equivalent of 2,000 full-time jobs.
The funding round saw strong interest from investors, with Wecasa receiving multiple offers before choosing to proceed with its longstanding investors Serena and blisce/, at a higher valuation than its 2021 Series A round. Current and former employees holding BSPCE (equity warrants) had the opportunity to exercise and sell their options, benefiting from a capital gain.
This €18 million investment will enable Wecasa to continue its growth trajectory, strengthening its leading position in the French and UK markets while expanding into new European countries. The funding supports an ambitious and innovation-driven strategy aimed at better meeting the needs of modern households for practical and accessible solutions.
“Since 2022, fundraising has become much more challenging for startups. Investor interest has shifted significantly towards AI and deep tech sectors. The interest we’ve received demonstrates the quality and uniqueness of Wecasa’s model. We are especially proud to combine financial performance with a positive impact on our employees and independent partners,” says Antoine Chatelain, CEO and co-founder of Wecasa.
“Since our first investment six years ago, Wecasa has embodied a bold vision, a resilient business model, and a strong societal mission. Thanks to the remarkable work of the teams and a rapidly growing market, Wecasa has achieved 60% growth this year while reaching profitability, consolidating its leadership position in a transforming sector,” — Olivier Martret, Partner at Serena.
“Wecasa’s highly resilient model exemplifies what we seek at blisce/: a scalable, profitable, and meaningful business. Their journey illustrates how innovation and strong fundamentals can support ambitious and thoughtful growth,” — Alexandre Mars, Founder and CEO of blisce/.
