Adaston strengthens higher education portfolio with successful delivery of university fire-safety projects

Passive fire protection specialist Adaston has strengthened its growing presence in the higher education sector after successfully completing major fire-safety projects at a London university and a Yorkshire university over the summer.

The Harrogate-based business delivered a programme of fire door and fire-stopping works worth a combined £800,000 across university campuses and student accommodation, with both projects representing the third consecutive year Adaston has been appointed to carry out work for the universities.
The completed projects included:

A London university: Adaston delivered a £300,000 programme of fire door and fire-stopping works across university buildings and student accommodation. The work followed Adaston’s successful reappointment for a third consecutive year through a competitive tender process.

A Yorkshire university: Adaston completed two fire-stopping projects worth a combined £500,000, following its appointment for a third consecutive year through a competitive framework. The projects involved fire-stopping works across the university estate and further demonstrated the university’s continued confidence in Adaston’s technical expertise and delivery.

Together, the projects highlight Adaston’s growing role in supporting higher education providers as they continue to invest in building safety, regulatory compliance and the protection of students, staff and visitors.
