The Edition Copenhagen workshop

Nordic Living by Biehl, an interiors brand based in Edinburgh, is set to launch a unique collection of limited edition lithographs in collaboration with Edition Copenhagen, one of the world’s foremost lithographic workshops.

The event, scheduled for Thursday 21st May from 5pm at Nordic Living’s Bruntsfield store, will showcase a curated selection of original stone lithographs by prominent contemporary Danish artists. This marks the first time such a collection will be available in Edinburgh.

Founded in 1959, Edition Copenhagen invites both Danish and international artists annually to produce original lithographs using traditional 18th-century techniques. Artists work directly on ancient limestone slabs with lithographic crayons and inks. The prints are then produced on acid-free, cotton-based handmade paper, known for its superior colour absorption and resistance to yellowing. Once printing is complete, the stone is ground down, ensuring the edition remains truly limited.

Since opening in 2018, Nordic Living by Biehl has earned a reputation for offering exquisite Danish furniture and lifestyle accessories within an inviting showroom environment. Owners Sofie Biehl Kleberg and Mogens Kleberg have now expanded their offerings through this collaboration, bringing works by artists such as Mathias Malling Mortensen, Morten Schelde, Malene Landgreen, Benny Dröscher, Benny Brankovic, and Per Adolfsen to Edinburgh.

Each lithograph is signed, numbered, and accompanied by full provenance from Edition Copenhagen, guaranteeing authenticity and exclusivity.

Sofie Biehl Kleberg, owner of Nordic Living by Biehl, said: “We’re really excited about this collaboration with one of the most prestigious names in Nordic art and have enjoyed working with the Edition Copenhagen team to select the artists and lithographs that we’ll be bringing to Bruntsfield. Art completes an interior and it’s wonderful to see these beautiful pieces hanging in the showroom alongside our furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for the launch event, to enjoy some drinks and discover something really special.”

The launch event is open to the public and offers attendees the chance to view and purchase the full collection. Nordic Living is located at 185 Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh EH10 4DG. For further information, contact the team via mynordicliving.co.uk.
