Global flooring brand Parador has reached a significant new milestone in its sustainability journey, announcing that since the end of 2025, the company has been producing at its sites in a carbon-neutral manner. The achievement reflects a clear, long-term alignment of its manufacturing processes with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement and reinforces a central pillar of its sustainability strategy: Parador ONE – ONE Planet. ONE Chance.
This progress is the result of a structured, multi-year approach built on three core principles: avoiding emissions wherever possible, systematically reducing those that remain, and taking responsible climate action. Through continuous optimisation of production processes, improved energy efficiency and targeted investments, Parador has been able to substantially lower its CO₂ footprint across its operations.
To address unavoidable residual emissions, Parador has entered into a new partnership with EcoTree, a European provider of high-quality, nature-based climate projects. As part of the collaboration, Parador is supporting a certified reforestation initiative in France, implemented under the state-recognised Bas Carbone label. The project is designed to bind CO₂ over the long term while simultaneously enhancing biodiversity, improving soil quality and strengthening forest resilience to the impacts of climate change.
“Sustainability is not a destination – it is a continuous journey,” says Neel Bradham, CEO of Parador. “Our priority is to avoid and reduce emissions as far as possible. Where emissions still occur today, we take responsibility and contribute actively towards global climate neutrality.”
By focusing on nature-based removal projects that capture CO₂ from the atmosphere and create tangible ecological benefits, Parador underlines its holistic understanding of climate protection. Reforestation initiatives such as the EcoTree project form part of a broader, credible emissions-reduction strategy rather than a stand-alone measure.
Parador’s approach has also gained international recognition. The company is the winner of the German Sustainability Award for Companies 2026 in the category Wood Processing. Widely regarded as Europe’s most important sustainability accolade, the award honours organisations that embed sustainability as a strategic principle and demonstrate how innovation, economic success and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
The consistent reduction of emissions at Parador’s Coesfeld and Güssing sites, together with the new partnership with EcoTree, exemplify the company’s ambition to shape interiors responsibly – today and for future generations.
