Henry Brothers Expands UK Footprint with New Edinburgh Office

Henry Brothers has inaugurated a new office in Edinburgh, reinforcing its strategic expansion within Scotland and across the UK. This marks the company’s sixth office location nationwide and strengthens its commitment to the Scottish construction sector.

The Edinburgh office complements Henry Brothers’ existing west coast presence, providing a dedicated base on Scotland’s east coast. Since establishing a continuous presence in Scotland in 1997, the company has built a growing portfolio of regional projects, including Frogston Primary School, Aberlady Primary School, and several developments at His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde, Royal Naval Armaments Depot Coulport, RAF Lossiemouth, and the Army Reserve Centre in Dunfermline.

Nick McKeown, Regional Director for Scotland, highlighted the significance of the new office, stating: “Opening our new Edinburgh office is an important step in our ongoing expansion across the UK. Scotland is a key market for Henry Brothers, and establishing a dedicated base in its capital city, alongside our existing office in Glasgow, enhances our ability to deliver high‑quality projects and build new relationships. As we approach our 50th anniversary, this move reflects our ambition for the next chapter of growth.”

Jody Wilkinson, Managing Director for Northern Ireland and Scotland, added: “Our presence in Edinburgh positions us at the heart of Scotland’s construction landscape. It allows us to better serve our clients and continue building on the foundations we’ve established here. We’re excited about the opportunities this brings and look forward to expanding our team and project portfolio across the region, knowing that we’re Altogether Stronger.”

The launch of the Edinburgh office coincides with Henry Brothers’ 50th anniversary in September. Over five decades, the company has evolved from a local construction firm based in Magherafelt into a prominent UK-wide contractor.

Henry Brothers operates as part of the Henry Group, which was founded in the 1970s and includes various manufacturing and construction companies specialising in sectors from external construction to interiors fit-out. The company’s headquarters remain in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, with additional offices in Belfast, Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and now Edinburgh.

Henry Brothers undertakes large-scale projects across multiple sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Police, Defence, Industrial, Commercial, Custodial, and Residential. The company recently announced its Journey to Net Zero initiative, committing to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
