Porcelain Superstore has introduced two new metro tile collections, Atelier and Lipari, which reflect a more refined aesthetic for 2026. These designs feature elongated formats that modernise the classic metro tile style.
Atelier is available in two warm finishes and is designed for both wall and floor applications. With its matt finish and subtly irregular edges, Atelier resembles a handmade tile, offering a beautifully textured surface that pairs well with natural materials such as oak, stone, and brushed brass. The collection boasts over 40 unique tile faces, ensuring a varied and organic appearance. Measuring 4.8 x 45cm, Atelier is versatile enough to be installed in various layouts, including herringbone, stacked, or brick bond patterns.
In contrast, Lipari presents a more crisp interpretation of the metro tile trend. With dimensions of 5 x 40cm, Lipari allows for creative installation options, whether laid horizontally or vertically, enhancing the perception of space in any room. This collection comes in seven colour options, including brilliant White, chalky Sand, warming Cotto, and delicate Blue.
Abbas Youssefi, Managing Director of Porcelain Superstore, commented on the evolution of metro tiles, stating, “Lipari and Atelier show how the metro tile trend is evolving. Homeowners still love the familiarity and versatility of classic metro tiles, but there is growing demand for formats that feel more refined, contemporary and visually striking.” He added, “The longer, slimmer shape gives both collections a much more elegant look, while also opening up more creative laying options, from stacked vertical designs to herringbone and modern brick patterns. That makes them especially appealing to customers who want something timeless, but with a fresher and more architectural feel.”
Both Atelier and Lipari are made from durable porcelain, ensuring they are easy to maintain and long-lasting. The tiles are now available for purchase, with Lipari priced at £57.60 per m2 and Atelier at £58 per m2.
