Scotland’s only consumer exhibition dedicated to self-builders, home renovators and improvers, the Scottish Homebuilding & Renovating Show, sponsored by self-build specialists Fleming Homes, will return to the SEC, Glasgow on 9 to 10 May 2026.
The two-day event offers visitors the chance to replace months of online research with direct access to expert advice. Attendees can take part in free seminars and masterclasses, book face-to-face consultations with industry professionals, and explore more than 140 exhibitors showcasing the latest products, services and innovations for the home. Key areas covered include kitchens and bathrooms, home renovation, green energy, self-build projects, extensions and conversions, planning permission, interior design, renewable technologies and project finance.
New for 2026
The 2026 show introduces two new expert speakers delivering free seminar sessions.
Aleksandra J Hannah of Skela Studio will focus on interior design, sharing practical techniques to help transform homes and extensions. Her session will explore how to create cohesive design schemes, with guidance on selecting fabrics, furniture and accessories.
Award-winning interior architect and garden designer Marieanne Messenger from Edinburgh-based Studio MA will present a seminar on space planning. Her talk will provide visitors with the skills needed to turn any space into a functional and stylish environment that reflects personal taste.
Mastering Energy Efficiency
Sustainable living will be a major theme of the 2026 show, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and low-carbon solutions.
Home Energy Hours will feature theatre presentations covering the latest developments in leaner and greener home technologies.
The Home Energy Academy will offer free, one-to-one advice sessions with home energy experts. Visitors can receive tailored guidance on improving energy efficiency, reducing household bills and lowering their carbon footprint.
Expert Advice Under One Roof
Visitors will have access to more than 20 free seminars and masterclasses covering topics such as kitchen design, financial planning and eco-living.
The Advice Centre will also provide free one-to-one consultations with architects, builders and planning professionals from the Homebuilding & Renovating team.
Whether planning a small home improvement or a full self-build project, the show is designed to support every stage of the homebuilding and renovation journey.
