The Staffordshire Tourism & Hospitality Summit is scheduled to take place once again on Thursday 28 January 2027 at the bet365 Stadium, the home ground of Stoke City Football Club. This event will gather over 300 delegates from across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent’s visitor economy.

Recognised as the region’s premier tourism and hospitality gathering, the summit is sponsored by Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. It offers businesses in the sector an opportunity to gain insights into industry trends, explore new prospects, and network with key partners. A trade exhibition will also be featured, highlighting products, services, and innovations relevant to tourism enterprises.

Attendees will benefit from a series of presentations and panel discussions led by industry experts. Topics will include visitor trends, destination marketing, enhancing customer experience, and strategies for business growth.

Chris Plant, Deputy CEO of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, commented: “Staffordshire’s tourism and hospitality sector has a lot to be proud of, with businesses across the county working hard to attract visitors and make the most of the opportunities ahead. As headline sponsor of Staffordshire Tourism & Hospitality Summit, we’re proud to support an event that brings the sector together to celebrate its successes, share ideas and look at what’s next. It’s a great opportunity for businesses and organisations from across Staffordshire to connect, learn from one another and help shape the future of our visitor economy.”

Robin Hall, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills at Staffordshire County Council, added: “Tourism and hospitality are major contributors to our local economy. They support jobs, create opportunities for businesses and give people a reason to spend more time in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. The summit is a chance to bring the sector together, share what is working and turn new ideas into practical opportunities. By working with businesses and education providers, we can help the visitor economy grow and make sure local people have the skills to benefit from it.”

Councillor Jane Ashworth, leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, said: “Stoke-on-Trent is a great place for people to live and visit, with much to offer in leisure and hospitality. This summit is a great opportunity for many people across the tourism sector in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to collaborate, connect and learn valuable insights from one another, so I encourage all local businesses to make use of this occasion and book their place at what promises to be an informative, great event.”

The summit will also serve as the platform to announce the shortlist for the 2027 Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards, which recognise outstanding businesses and individuals within the visitor economy.

Businesses interested in attending can secure their places at an early bird rate of £40 plus VAT, which includes lunch and refreshments. Tickets and further details are available at https://www.enjoystaffordshire.com/trade/events/conference.

The event comes amid continued growth in Staffordshire’s visitor economy. The latest STEAM economic impact report reveals tourism’s value to the county has reached a record £2.84 billion, marking a 3.4 per cent increase from the previous year. Both visitor spending and overnight stays have shown consistent rises.

As the sector expands, the Staffordshire Tourism & Hospitality Summit remains a vital forum for those driving the industry forward, fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustained growth.
