Castle Green Homes has officially joined Homes England’s Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), a move that opens up access to public sector land opportunities.
Simon Finlay, the development director at Castle Green Homes, remarked, “Castle Green is a true hybrid housebuilder, with an almost equal balance between the number of private sale and affordable homes delivered in the last financial year.”
Finlay highlighted that becoming part of the DPS was a significant goal for the company in 2026, as it provides access to a variety of public sector land opportunities through Homes England’s national programmes. These initiatives are vital for supporting regeneration and affordable housing, which are crucial to the company’s ongoing growth.
Chris McAllister, who joined Castle Green in December 2025 to lead the North West Partnerships business, celebrated the achievement of DPS partner status as a major milestone. With over 20 years of expertise in affordable housing delivery and public procurement, Chris stated, “We’re proud to have been named as a delivery partner on Homes England’s DPS. Achieving this strategic objective unlocks further public sector land opportunities to us and raises our profile among local authorities and other public bodies looking for developers.”
He further added, “Castle Green’s appointment to the DPS reflects and strengthens our commitment to supporting high quality, sustainable development and collaborating with partners across the public and private sector to deliver homes and places that meet local needs. We look forward to working with Homes England and continuing to contribute to Government housing targets.”
Homes England serves as the Government’s housing and regeneration agency, and the DPS is one of its primary avenues for land disposal. Being included in the DPS allows housebuilders to bid for these sites, while other public bodies can also utilise the DPS to procure developers, thereby expanding the potential projects available to housebuilders.
Castle Green is experiencing rapid growth, with its headquarters located in Preston Brook and a regional office in St Asaph. The company was recently awarded Housebuilder of the Year at the Insider North West Residential Property Awards and is actively investing in new land opportunities to facilitate its expansion.
The business anticipates delivering approximately 600 homes across 16 developments in the current financial year, with a long-term goal of reaching 1,000 homes by 2030. Currently, developments are underway in the North West and North Wales, with plans to expand into the Manchester City Region, Lancashire, and Shropshire, alongside exciting projects in the Liverpool City Region and Cheshire.
