Neptune Sonar Expands East Yorkshire Presence with New Melton West Facility

Neptune Sonar, a global frontrunner in underwater acoustic technology, is set to expand its operations by relocating to a new site at the Melton West business park in East Yorkshire. The company will occupy the largest unit at Evolve @ Melton West, a development by the Wykeland Group.

Specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced sonar transducers, Neptune Sonar produces sensor devices that emit sound pulses underwater to map sea depths, detect objects, and monitor fish movements. As part of the OceanSight group, the firm supplies high-resolution subsea intelligence technologies essential for underwater tracking and marine communication systems worldwide.

Currently headquartered near Driffield on the shores of Kelk Lake, Neptune Sonar’s move to Evolve will consolidate three existing sites into a single 38,000 sq ft facility. This new space will serve as a manufacturing hub, distribution centre, and storage area, with operations expected to commence later this year.

Neptune Sonar will join Medequip, the UK’s leading provider of community equipment loan services, and Revive Auto Repairs, which occupies a smaller unit, as tenants at Evolve. The remaining terrace units, available as four 5,000 sq ft spaces or combined for larger requirements, have attracted significant interest. These units cater to a variety of sectors including industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and trade counter operations.
