Serenity Parks Expands UK Presence with Acquisition of Four Established Sites

Serenity Parks has broadened its national reach by acquiring four established residential park communities, adding over 1,500 homes to its portfolio. This marks the company’s largest acquisition to date and reinforces its commitment to developing high-quality residential parks across the UK.

The newly acquired sites include Kings Park Village on Canvey Island in Essex, The Elms in Torksey, Lincolnshire, Willowbrook in Lancing, West Sussex, and Sandy Oaks in Bestwood, Nottinghamshire. Notably, Kings Park Village is the country’s largest park-home community.

Gary Burns, Founder of Serenity Parks, described the acquisition as a strong strategic fit. He said: “These four sites are a great fit for Serenity. They are well-established, have strong resident communities and share the culture and approach that we are building across the business.”

Burns emphasised the importance of the existing teams at the sites, stating: “Just as important are the teams who have made these places what they are. They know the sites, know the residents and have a proven track record of running them well. We’re pleased they will remain in place as part of the next chapter.”

Highlighting the broader market context, Burns added: “There is a chronic undersupply of later-living properties for older homeowners looking to downsize, and modern residential parks have an important role to play in meeting that demand.”

He further noted that the acquisition provides Serenity Parks with the scale and platform to continue growing while enhancing standards within the residential parks sector.

All current staff at the four sites will retain their roles and responsibilities, ensuring continuity for residents during the transition.

In conjunction with the acquisition, Serenity Parks appointed Rob Turner as Chief Operating Officer. Turner brings over 29 years of experience in leisure, hospitality, and residential parks, along with detailed knowledge of the newly acquired communities.

Turner commented: “I’ve worked closely with these sites and the teams for a number of years, so I know what makes them work well and what matters to the people who live here.” He expressed enthusiasm about his new role and contributing to Serenity Parks’ ongoing national expansion.

This acquisition follows Serenity Parks’ recent purchase of three residential park-home communities in Dorset and Hampshire last month. The company continues to actively seek further opportunities to expand its footprint across the UK.

The new acquisition completed on 1 October 2026.
