Nationwide placemaker Muse has strengthened its commitment to creating brighter futures in Yorkshire and the North East with the appointment of Simon Dew as Managing Director for the region.
Simon, who has been with the business for more than 15 years, has played a central role in shaping places and bringing forward long‑term regeneration in towns and cities across the North. Having first joined Muse as a Development Director before becoming Director of Development Management, he has consistently shown the passion for people and place that sits at the heart of Muse’s work.
Over the last year, Simon has guided the regional team through a period of significant growth, while continuing to champion new opportunities and partnerships that will help deliver meaningful benefits for local communities.
With 30 years’ experience in property acquisition and place‑making, Simon now takes up the role of Regional Managing Director with immediate effect. He will lead the team as it progresses Muse’s growing pipeline across Yorkshire and the North East, including the transformation of Baltic Quarter in Gateshead, the delivery of the Durham Innovation Zone, and major regeneration work at Bradford City Village, Hull East Bank, and the Wakefield Strategic Regeneration Partnership.
